Lena Kennedy to be Honored at Women For Racial Justice Breakfast

YWCA Glendale and Pasadena will honor three local woman and one organization at the 21st annual Women for Racial Justice Breakfast at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24. at the Noor Ballroom.

Lena Kennedy, Angelica Salas and Pricilla Chavez will be honored along with Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley.

The Breakfast will be emceed by KTLA’s Emmy Award-winning news anchor Cher Calvin and feature a keynote speech by the founder of the Women’s March Foundation, Emiliana Guereca.

Kennedy is the founder and director of the SoCal Women’s Conference and Expo, Salas is the executive director for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles and Chavez is business development manager of PCL Construction. 

“Through this event, we recognize the commitment and dedication of our supporters, program participants and community, and business and government partners who advance our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all,” the groups said in its release.
