“Stories of Identity: Gender and Sexuality” is choreographer/director Hillary Thomas’ latest production. It is a combination of live storytelling, music, and dance. Lineage’s “Stories of Identity” goes beyond the traditional evening of monologuing by bringing stores to life that are beyond words.
The dance performance is for one weekend only, January 27 and 28, at 7:30 p.m., and features all new stories and choreography that focus on ideas of sexuality and gender, and how those concepts shape our identities.
The performance features the music of Priscilla and the Stache. John Rowden, Angie Vaughn, Heather Clark, Danielle Munoz, Austin Roy, and Harry Vaughn, provided the storylines.
The Lineage Dance Company’s Jonathan Kim, Molly Mattei, Ericalynn Priolo, Julia Schaeffer, Hilary Thomas, Teya Wolvington, and Meghann Zenor will dance to the choreography and direction of Hilary Thomas.
Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. “Stories of Identity” will be performed at the Lineage Performing Arts Center, 89 S. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena. For more information call (626) 844-7008 or visit www.lineagepac.org/events.
