Local Realty Group to Host Charity Bike Build Event Sunday

An annual charity build-a-bike activity hosted by a local realty company that will benefit 100 children being served by nonprofit Hillsides Pasadena is set for this Sunday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and community members can help.

Broker associate Eva Lin of the Lin Realty Group in Pasadena, who will host the activity, said members of the community who would want to volunteer and help in building the bikes can RSVP at this link: https://linrealtygroup.com/evalinbikebuild/

“Building that many bikes is a big job, and we’d love your help! I can promise that you’ll be a hero to some very special kids in our community,” said Lin.

Lin has been hosting the charity activity since 2018. She said she believes it is important to help children in our community who may not have as many opportunities.

Previous beneficiaries of the charity bike build include Pasadena Boys & Girls Club and Elizabeth House.

“It’s really heartwarming and inspiring to see all different types of people from the community come out and participate in this event.” 

“There can be so much negativity in the news about all the things that seem to be going wrong but we love having events like this because it shows there are so many good-hearted people who donate their time and energy to positively impact local children who they have never even met.” 

Lin hosts the bike building activity twice a year. Although the activity was placed on hold in 2022 due to the pandemic, it resumed in 2021.

The mother of two said she looks forward to holding three events this year. 

Lin’s “giving back” reflects her inspiring life story and business success. She came to the U.S. from China when she was 13. Studying and working hard, she is an American success story. Today her realty firm sells over $100 million in real estate annually.
