After leading the Pasadena City College men’s soccer team in scoring the past two seasons, forward Luis Flores has joined the professional ranks by becoming a member of the Santa Tecla FC in El Salvador. Santa Tecla plays in that country’s First Division.
In 2013, Flores was an All-South Coast Conference First Team selection, scoring eight goals with a team-high nine assists, in helping the Lancers reach the Southern California Regional Playoffs.
A two-year lettermen, Flores is No. 11 on PCC’s all-time points scoring list. He was directed at PCC by head coach Edgar Manvelyan and associate head coach Henry Cabral. A product of Pasadena High, Flores is originally from Mexico.
