Police arrested a man after they say he tried to force his way into two cars that were stopped at a red light at a Pasadena intersection on Tuesday afternoon.
Francisco Rodiles, 40, described as a transient, was ultimately arrested on suspicion of attempted carjacking in connection with the incident, which unfolded shortly after 5:30 p.m. at Marengo Avenue and Union Street, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.
Dawkins said Police responded to reports that Rodiles had tried to get into two vehicles as they waited at the intersection. No weapons were seen.
Officers quickly found Rodiles in the area and took him into custody without a struggle, according to the lieutenant.
Information regarding his bail amount and initial court appearance was not available Wednesday.
