Two men got into an argument Sunday night that escalated into a stabbing when the victim refused to give the suspect “a few bucks,” according to police.
Pasadena Police Lt. Mark Goodman said the victim “is a 44-year-old man from Altadena and he sustained an approximate one centimeter puncture wound to the underside of his left arm.”
The victim was stabbed with a silver screwdriver, Goodman said. The attack occurred about 9:28 p.m. in the 800 block of North Lake Avenue.
The suspect is an unknown white man is his 30’s, medium-build, 6’3”, clean-shaven, and with blonde hair. The suspect was wearing tan cargo shorts and a long-sleeved dark shirt.
“It looks like the suspect approached the victim, engaged in a short conversation,” Goodman said. “The conversation led to a physical altercation, which culminated in the suspect stabbing the victim under his left arm.”
Goodman said the victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The injury is not considered a life-threatening injury.
An investigation is ongoing, Goodman said.
