Off the Rose Parade route, Pasadena was mostly quiet Friday morning, Pasadena Police said, however a “hot prowl” incident did occur in the 2300 block of Cooley Place at about 12:46 a.m.
A man was startled out sleep by an intruder in his home but the victim scared off the suspect, Lt. Kelly Evans said.
“The victim was asleep when he was awakened by the sound of footsteps,” Evans said. “The suspect, who is unknown, had smashed a window into the house and encountered the victim.”
The suspect fled. There were no injuries to the victim and there is no information that a loss occurred, Evans said.
