A group of three robbers fled with valuables including a luxury watch and a diamond ring after robbing a man at gunpoint as he arrived home in Pasadena earlier this week, police said.

The crime took place about 11 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue, according to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess. The victim, however, did not report it until Saturday morning.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, stated he had just arrived home in a rideshare when he noticed another vehicle parking directly behind the rideshare car, the lieutenant said. The man was not alarmed, assuming the other car was there to deliver food he had just ordered.

Three men emerged from the car, one of them armed with a handgun, Burgess said.

One of the robbers held the victim at gunpoint while the other two stole his property, including a wristwatch valued at thousands of dollars and a diamond ring, he said.

Police described the robbers as three men in their early-20s. Detailed descriptions were not available. They were riding in an older-style white compact car with tinted windows.
