Police sought an armed man who robbed another man of a guitar at a Pasadena bus stop on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The crime took place just after 1 p.m. as the victim was sitting on a bus bench in the 800 block of North Lake Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Jesse Carrillo said.
Another man approached and asked if he could play the victim’s acoustic guitar, the lieutenant said.
When the victim refused, the robber displayed a handgun tucked into his waistband and demanded the instrument, according to Carrillo. After obtaining the guitar, the robber was last seen heading south along Lake Avenue.
Police described the robber as a Black man between his late-20s and 40 years old, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black shirt and black pants.
