Police said a man was shot Saturday in broad daylight during an altercation on a busy street.
Lt. William Grisafe said the victim, who has not cooperated with police, received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to one arm about 1:30 p.m.
The victim apparently was one of a pair of men arguing with a third man, for an unknown reason. The confrontation took place on E. Washington Boulevard between N. Lake Avenue and N. Mentor Avenue, Grisafe said.
The victim and his partner left and returned to the scene in a vehicle to confront the man a second time, but apparently that man had armed himself in the meantime.
When the pair approached him the second time, the man fired his weapon, striking the victim.
The victim was dropped off at a nearby fire station, where Pasadena Fire Dept. paramedics treated him and transported him to a local hospital.
Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241 at any hour.
