A man slashed his roommate with a razor blade during a dispute at their Pasadena home early Tuesday, police said.
The suspect remained at large following the attack, which left the victim with a 10-inch-long gash across his face, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.
Police said the crime took place at about 3:50 a.m. in the 200 block of East Claremont Street.
The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, “had been drinking throughout the day and started an argument with the victim,” according to the lieutenant.
The roommates began to fight and the suspect pulled a straight-edge razor and slashed the victim in the face, he said. The victim, a man in his 20s, was hospitalized with a 10-inch-long laceration to his face.
Dawkins said the attacker fled the scene before officers arrived.
His identity was known to investigators, but not released as officers continued searching for him, Dawkins added.
