A 37-year-old Pasadena man was stabbed in the back near the Del Mar Metro station early Thursday morning, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:13 a.m. on May 23 in the 200 block of South Raymond Avenue.
Responding officers found the victim on the northeast corner of Raymond Avenue and Delmar Street with a major injury – an approximate two-inch stab wound to the middle of his back that lacerated his bowel, said Campeau.
Pasadena Fire Department personnel transported the man in stable condition to a local hospital for treatmentCampeau said.
According to Campeau the victim was uncooperative with authorities and refused to provide any information about the incident.
No independent witnesses were located at the scene, and video surveillance was not immediately accessible. Detectives have been notified and are working to obtain any available video footage, said Campeau.
At this time, there is no description of the suspect or suspects involved due to the victim’s lack of cooperation. No weapon was recovered at the scene Campeau said .
