Man Steals Car from Woman at Gunpoint During Robbery, Makes His Getaway

Pasadena police today sought the public’s help in locating a stolen BMW sedan and the armed suspect who took the car at gunpoint from a woman during a robbery in a commercial neighborhood in Pasadena.

The victim, a 39-year-old woman from Tujunga, was walking to her parked black 2010 BMW 535i sedan about 2:10 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of East Colorado Boulevard when she was approached by a suspect who pointed a handgun at her, said Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson.

Clawson said the suspect demanded her cell phone and then drove away from the scene in her BMW. The woman was not hurt and police did not release the vehicle’s license plate numbers.

Police described the suspect as a 6-foot tall Latino man, about 35 years old, with a stocky build. He had thick black hair, along with a goatee and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap with a white logo on the front, a black shirt with writing on the back and dark pants.
