Police said a transient became agitated and started yelling at two women sitting on a park bench before throwing a beer bottle at them in Central Park, 275 S. Raymond Avenue, on Thursday afternoon just after 2 p.m.

The bottle shattered at their feet. Neither woman was injured.

The man stormed off “in an aggressive manner through the playground area where 20 kids were playing,” according to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess.

The women, one aged 37 and the other 39 and both from Pasadena, called police.

Officers arrested the man, whom they identified as Brandon Tannehill, aged 25.

Tannehill reportedly gave officers a false name at first but was later identified. Online booking records show he has been arrested repeatedly throughout Lod Angeles County.

He was booked in the Pasadena City Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, then transferred to County Jail, Burgess said.
