Police are on the lookout for a man who wore a mask and stole cash and cigarettes at gunpoint at a Pasadena 7-11 store early Wednesday morning.
The robbery at the convenience store in the 600 block of North Lake Avenue was reported at about 1:45 a.m.
Pasadena Police Lt. John Mercado said a male store clerk was working at the cash register when the masked robber entered brandishing a handgun.
The clerk backed away from the counter, said a report in the Pasadena Star-News, and the robber helped himself to an undetermined amount of cash and grabbed packs of cigarettes from a rack. He then fled the area on foot.
Officers described the suspect as a black male, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, black hat, tan cargo pants and a mask covering the lower portion of his face.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241.
