Mayor Gordo to Hand Out Gifts From a Christmas Bus Traversing Parts of the City This Afternoon

Mayor Victor Gordo will present gifts and treats to local children from a Christmas Bus today from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event will feature Christmas carolers.

The Rose Queen and Royal Pincesses and community members will join in.

Gifts and treats will be delivered to several local child serving agencies and after-school programs (200+children), including after school adventures programs at Madison and Longfellow schools. Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena (Mackenzie Scott branch) and Hathaway Sycamores.

The event will start at City Hall before heading to Madison Elementary School and then Longfellow before heading to the Hathaway Sycamores, the Boys and Girls Club on Fair Oaks Avenue. The bus will then cruise through Old Pasadena and finally back to City Hall.

On Halloween, Gordo got into the spirit by delivering treats to Pasadena’s children with a 90-minute neighborhood bus tour, as he distributed candy to local residents.

The Mayor footed the bill himself for the double-decker Hollywood tour-style bus which he loaded with friends and neighbors who tossed candy to trick-or-treaters along a route which began at the Mayor’s home in Madison Heights to Tournament House, through Old Pasadena and into various local neighborhoods.
