The proposal also recommends an escalating rate model, where drivers can pay a base rate for an initial period and then an increased rate for additional time. This aims to provide flexibility and allow drivers to extend their parking time without fear of a citation.
A parking study conducted in 2020 and subsequent meetings with the Playhouse Village Association (PVA) and local businesses informed the development of this proposal. The PVA Board of Directors has expressed support for the plan, citing the need for better parking management in the area.
