The City of Pasadena Public Health Department will be vaccinating a limited group of residents 65 plus this Tuesday (Jan. 26th) and Thursday (Jan. 28th) at Pasadena City College, but by appointment only — and officials said those who show up without appointments will be wasting their time, and everybody else’s too.
At last week’s drive-thru vaccination clinic, numerous vehicles were in line without appointments causing a significant delay for those who were registered and traffic concerns, a city spokesperson said.
“There are limited appointments available due to our vaccine supply from the state and federal governments,” city public information officer Lisa Derderian said. “Once supply increases, we will be able to offer more appointments. If any vaccine is unused at the end of the day, we have an existing waiting list for those who qualify in the current tier.”
Friends and family members accompanying the vaccine recipient will not be eligible, she said.
Individuals who show-up to the clinic without an appointment, proof of age, and residency will be turned away.
