Police investigating gunfire in a Pasadena neighborhood late Tuesday found no victims or suspects, officials said.

Witnesses reported hearing a single shot ring out at about 11:30 p.m. in a residential neighborhood in the 1900 block of Navarro Avenue,  according to Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.

Officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but no people or property that had been hit by bullets, Dawkins said.

No further details were available.

A similar incident took place late Monday in a neighborhood about a half-mile to the south, police said at the time.

Residents heard but did not see shots fired at about 7:20 p.m. along Sunset Avenue, just south of Howard Street, Dawkins said.

Officers found spent bullet casings at the scene, but no victims, he said.
