Someone in a dark-colored, late model black Hyundai fired multiple shots at a group of people in the northwest parking lot of the Community Arms housing complex about 7:30 p.m. Friday night, police said.
The group scattered, Lt. Jason Clawson said, and apparently no one was struck by the bullets.
The car then gathered speed and rushed away in a northerly direction from the scene in the 100 block of Painter Street, Clawson said.
Citizen witnesses called police, he said. By the time officers arrived, the car was gone.
