Jericho Road Pasadena (JRP), a non-sectarian nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local nonprofits, is pleased to officially announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. These new board members bring a wealth of experience and expertise in various fields, further enhancing JRP’s mission to connect professional volunteers with community-based nonprofit organizations.

Andy Eaton, PhD, BCES retired in 2020 as Technical Director Eurofins Eaton Analytical, LLC, the largest potable water testing lab in the US, after a 40-year career in the industry. Andy did his undergraduate work in geology at Antioch College, received a PhD from Harvard, and did postdoctoral work at CalTech. He still does occasional consulting work in the environmental chemistry field, but most of his time is devoted to nonprofit activities.  He recently finished a 4-year stint on the Board of Trustees as Treasurer of the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena, where he and his family have been members for over 30 years.  He also serves as chair of the Board of Coffee with a Cause (CWAC), a Pasadena-based non-profit focused on providing job training for transitional-age youth.  His involvement with CWAC started as a Jericho Road volunteer project and morphed into an ongoing commitment.

Grant Law is an accomplished real estate professional at The Agency with a background in residential and commercial. Before joining The Agency’s Pasadena office, he co-founded Laura + Grant Real Estate and received awards for his high sales volume in the SoCal region. Grant is also a real estate coach with Clubwealth and previously served as a managing broker, helping develop and oversee a mortgage loan origination division. With a focus on client experience, Grant aims to simplify and make the buying and selling process enjoyable. He specializes in the San Gabriel Valley area but possesses a broad knowledge of the Orange County and San Diego markets. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of California Riverside, Grant has extensive experience as a commercial sales broker, property manager, loan originator, and more. Drawing on his expertise as a managing broker and real estate coach, Grant emphasizes the importance of understanding clients’ motivations to effectively assist them in achieving their goals.

Sara Langley, Development Associate at the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, brings over seven years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, communication, relationship building, and donor research. A native of Pasadena, Sara has been actively involved in the nonprofit community since 2016, starting her career at the San Marino Schools Foundation before joining the Boys & Girls Club. With a BA in History from Gonzaga University, Sara’s passion for the nonprofit sector emerged during high school as she recognized the significance of giving back to the community. In addition to her work at the Boys & Girls Club, Sara actively participates in the Junior League of Pasadena, where she currently serves as the President-Elect, poised to take on the role of President in 2024-2025.

Valerie Mendoza has been a part of the local Pasadena community for the last ten years. Valerie is the Executive Director of Human Resources and Payroll at Rusnak Auto Group and has been a part of the esteemed company since 2013. Valerie has a B.A. from UC Riverside and a J.D. from Glendale University College of Law.  With over 14 years of experience in Human Resources and Compliance, she enjoys aiding local organizations needing support. Volunteering and community support have always been an integral part of her life. In addition to being on the Board of Jericho Road, Valerie is the President of the Junior League of Pasadena (2022-2023), Vice-Chair of Ten Thousand Villages – Pasadena, Board Member of Leadership Pasadena, Board Member of the Women’s Committee of the Pasadena Symphony and POPS, a member of Altadena Guild, and a member of Circle of Friends Pasadena supporting Kidspace.

“We are thrilled to welcome these four exceptional individuals to our board,” said Kim Olpin, Executive Director of Jericho Road Pasadena. “Their diverse backgrounds and deep commitment to community development align perfectly with JRP’s mission.
