Only 20 Percent Chance of Rain in Pasadena Thursday, Sunny Days Ahead

Pasadenans can expect possible showers and isolated thunderstorms Thursday morning, but skies should clear up in the afternoon. 

National Weather Service forecasters said “short periods of heavy rain are likely” with the second wave of the current storm, but the showers will likely be “very scattered,” so rainfall totals could vary dramatically depending on location. But in general, between a quarter-inch and 1 inch of additional rain is anticipated before the storm departs on Thursday,

It will be a bit cooler than usual, with temperatures around 60 degrees, according to the NWS.

Tomorrow, Pasadena is expected to see a mix of sun and clouds, with a slight chance of morning fog along the coast. Temperatures will warm up a bit, with highs in the mid-60s.

On Saturday, skies will be mostly sunny, with temperatures continuing to warm up into the mid-60s to low 70s.

Looking ahead to next week, temperatures will drop a bit on Sunday as onshore flow returns, but it should still be mostly clear. On Monday, there is a chance of showers and low elevation snow in the mountains, with temperatures dropping even further. By Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures will slowly start to warm up again, but will still be below normal.

Please note that there are winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories in effect for the mountains from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles County, and snow levels are around 3500 feet, so be careful if you plan to travel in those areas.
