A man apparently angered over a dispute about parking at a convenience store on Sunday fired a weapon at a car, narrowly missing the occupants, police said.

About 8:15 a.m., Lt. William Grisafe reported, there was “some type of confrontation between the victim and the suspect over a parking-related issue” at the 7-Eleven store located at the corner of North Lake Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard.

The victims left, driving away northbound on Lake Avenue, according to Grisafe.

The suspect followed them, passed them and made a U-Turn. As the suspect drove south past them, he fired one to two shots at the victims.

The victims were not struck, but one round was found in the victim’s vehicle.

Grisafe said the victims were a man and a woman in their late twenties, both Los Angeles residents.

The shooter was a young man in his twenties accompanied by a young woman. Their car was a four-door blue newer model sedan, Grisafe said.
