Pasadena’s Done Right! Purchased by Tree.com

Local online home improvement directory service Done Right! was partially acquired by Tree.com, it was announced today.

An online directory service providing lead generation and marketing services for home improvement professionals, Done Right! was a Web site launched out of Pasadena, Calif., in 2005. The company helped consumers find and hire the best contractors for their specific projects. On Wednesday, it sold certain assets to Tree.com.

“The acquisition of Done Right! perfectly complements our mission of offering a trusted source of information that enables consumers to make smart, well-informed decisions based on expert guidance and personalized support across a wide variety of service offerings,” Greg Hanson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Tree.com, said in a released statement. “We’re excited to enter this new market with its untapped opportunities for rapid growth, and we’re on track to continue helping contractors both large and small expand like so many other providers in our network.”

In addition to its directories, Done Right! also covers a wide range of home repair, remodeling and improvement specialties. In addition, all Done Right! service providers are highly pre-qualified, pre-screened, endorsed, and reviewed.

Exact terms of the deal were not announced, though the transaction fit Tree.com’s business plan in providing consumers access to businesses and professionals when searching for vital products and services. Among the services they offer include financial services, real estate, education, home services, insurance and automotive services.

Based in Charlotte, N. Car., Tree.com also has partnerships with travel-oriented Web sites Expedia and Hotwire.
