The Pasadena Black History Celebration Planning Committee is holding its honors dinner to celebrate civil rights leader Martin Luther King and Black History Month this Saturday, January 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel.
The event will also to honor people in the community who are making a difference.
This year’s honorees, 2018 Pasadena Black History Parade Grand Marshalls, Ishmel Throne and Nicole Benard will be in attendance. Community Service Awards honorees include Ted Bates, Lynette West-Cater, George McGrudder, Darryl Qualls, and Rodney Wallace.
