The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) announced that veterans and active-duty military service members are invited to visit The Huntington with free admission this Memorial Day, May 29, in celebration of their service. The event is generously funded by the Pipia & Ma Welcome Home Fund, a Pasadena Community Foundation fund.
Complimentary admission extends to the veteran/service member and up to three guests. Each attendee will have individual and family time for reflection, peace, and enjoyment.
Tickets will be available at the admission ticket windows onsite, and no advance registration is required. The event is held rain or shine. Please bring proof of military service or veteran affiliation.
The Pipia/Ma Welcome Home Fund was established in 2021 at Pasadena Community Foundation by John Pipia and Betty Ma. The fund supports the well-being and self-care of veterans and active-duty military service members. John was in active duty for several years, serving in the U.S. Army and in active combat in Vietnam. Betty, despite a full professional schedule, still finds time to serve her community, including mentoring veterans.
Founded in 1953, Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) is a tax-exempt public charity created by and for the people of Pasadena. Managing more than $160 million in charitable assets, PCF works with individuals, families, and organizations to establish philanthropic funds, create and build endowment funds, and distribute charitable gifts to nonprofit organizations.
