A family was shaken, but unharmed, after arriving home to discover three intruders inside their home in Pasadena on Saturday night, police said.
A man, wife and their children arrived home about 10:20 p.m. in the 1400 block of Linda Vista Avenue, near the Rose Bowl, according to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess.
The woman entered the home through the garage with the children and was shocked to encounter three men inside the home, Burgess said.
The family retreated back to their vehicle, drove away and called 911, the lieutenant said. The three intruders then ran to a waiting getaway car, described as possibly a four-door-sedan, and sped away. They were described only as male.
Officers searched the area, but the burglars were not found.
Jewelry valued at about $100,000 was stolen in the break-in, Burgess said.
Detectives continued seeking clues Sunday, including checking for helpful surveillance camera footage.
