Pasadena Fire Dept. Announces Promotions

Pasadena Fire Chief Dennis J. Downs presided over a badge ceremony in recognition of the promotions of Fire Engineer Aceanyer (AC) Brown to the rank of Fire Captain and Firefighter Edbert (Kimo) Pasimio to the rank of Engineer.

Captain Brown, who has served with the Pasadena Fire Department for 16 years, is a member of the Department’s Recruitment Committee and Urban Search & Rescue Team and received several certifications from the State Fire Marshal’s Office. He is married and has two children, ages 14 and six.

Engineer Pasimio has been with the Department for seven years. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cal State Long Beach and received his Paramedic certification in 2007. He has received a myriad of accreditations from the State Fire Marshal’s Office. He is the father of two children ages 10 and six.

In recognition of the support given by their family members during the promotional process, Chief Downs asked the promotees to select a loved one to pin their new badge on their uniforms.
