The Pasadena Public Health Department will emphasize the importance of community connection and proactive health choices during its second annual “Spring Into Wellness” festival. The festival will offer free food, family activities, and health screenings to support individual and community well-being.

“Spring Into Wellness” is not just about physical health; it’s a celebration of all aspects of well-being, offering Pasadena residents a comprehensive toolkit for a healthier lifestyle, the organizers said.

“’Spring Into Wellness’ will be a festive opportunity for community members to learn about programs and services PPHD and community partners have to offer,” Dr. Ying-Ying Goh, Pasadena Public Health Director and Health Officer, said. “We want residents to know that there are many local community resources available to promote health and well-being.”

Scheduled for Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Villa Parke Community Center and Multipurpose Field, the event will feature an array of free offerings aimed at supporting individual and community well-being. In addition to informative resources and services, the festival will feature health screenings, children’s activities, and free food provided by a local taco truck.

Attendees can also expect a lively atmosphere filled with opportunities to make healthy choices, reduce stress, and foster positive social interactions. It will be a celebration of all facets of well-being, recognizing that social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, financial, and environmental wellness are interconnected, the organizers said.
