A Pasadena man accused of abducting a teenage girl and sexually assaulting her in Corona was arrested and remained behind bars today in lieu of $130,000 bail.
Andrew San Gabino, 25, was taken into custody Thursday and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of lewd acts with a child, sexual assault of a child and kidnapping.
According to the Corona Police Department, the victim, a 15-year-old girl, was walking near Corona and Parkridge avenues at around 2 p.m. July 15 when a man drove up beside her, asked for directions and demanded she get in
his vehicle.
The girl told investigators that she complied and the suspect drove her to a residential area where he sexually assaulted her.
“This investigation is still ongoing and our detective believes there may be unreported incidents involving San Gabino,” said Corporal Tobias Kouroubacalis of the Corona Police Department.
