Pasadena Man Arrested on Domestic Violence, Drug and Weapons Charges

A Pasadena man wanted for domestic violence was arrested Friday afternoon after officers found him with two other individuals, one of whom was allegedly holding a rifle, the police said.

Phillip Marquet, 44, was taken into custody around 1:36 p.m. in the garage of a home on the 200 block of Linda Rosa Avenue, according to Lieutenant Sean Dawkins of the Pasadena Police Department. 

Officers had gone to the address to arrest Marquet on a warrant for domestic violence.

Upon arriving, the police encountered Marquet in the garage along with two other people, Lieutenant Dawkins said. One of the individuals was reportedly holding a rifle, which he dropped after officers ordered him to do so. All three were detained without incident or use of force.

In addition to the rifle, a “significant amount of drugs” was allegedly found in plain sight at the scene, prompting officers to obtain a search warrant, according to Lieutenant Dawkins.

Marquet was subsequently arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, possession of narcotics for sale, and multiple weapons-related charges. Lieutenant Dawkins did not specify whether the other two individuals were also arrested.

Online booking records said Marquet was being held in the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles with bail set at $105,000.
