The Pasadena Management Association (PMA) is proud to announce donations totaling $10,000 to two Pasadena-based nonprofits to support local restaurants, families in need, and the most vulnerable populations in the City of Pasadena impacted by COVID-19. “During this unprecedented economic time, our Board felt very strongly about supporting those most impacted in the community we serve, by partnering with two local organizations who have an outstanding track record of service in Pasadena,” said President Dan Augustyn of the Pasadena Management Association.

$5,000 was donated to Union Station Homeless Services to support housing, meal and supply programs. “Union Station Homeless Services has been on the frontline of the COVID-19 emergency response, ensuring that our most vulnerable neighbors have interim housing, meals and supplies to remain safe and healthy. We are deeply grateful to the Pasadena Management Association for their generous support during this critical time. Our work is simply not possible without the support of our community,” said CEO Anne Miskey of Union Station Homeless Services.

Another $5,000 was donated to Friends In Deed to support a gift card program that will support Pasadena restaurants through direct gift card purchases and provides those gift cards to families in need. “We are so excited to be partnering with the Pasadena Management Association to provide restaurant gift cards to our most vulnerable clients and guests. With this $5,000 donation, we will not only be offering folks an opportunity for a wonderful meal for their families, but we will be supporting local businesses as well! Thank you!” said Executive Director Rabbi Joshua Levine Grater of Friends In Deed.

PMA is the bargaining unit for approximately 500 City of Pasadena management employees, representing top, middle, and professional managers in virtually every City department (excluding managers in the executive tier, confidential managers, and sworn members of the Police and Fire departments). As a dedicated community partner, PMA supports various City and local nonprofit programs and/or events annually.
