Water was flowing from two upstairs units in the Thatcher Medical Building in the 900 block of East Green St. when Pasadena Fire Dept. personnel arrived on scene Sunday afternoon about 1:05 p.m., official said.
The water heavily damaged two units on the first floor and leaked into the electrical vault in the basement. Pasadena Water and Power Dept. responded and shut off power to the building as firefighters conducted salvage and water removal operations.
17 fire personnel spent two hours on scene at the incident.
Officials estimated $150,000 in damages to the building and another $150,000 in damage to the contents. No cause for the leak was disclosed.
