Pasadena police will be holding an extra enforcement campaign on Friday to crack down on traffic violations, officials said.
The daylong campaign will take place citywide, police said in a written statement.
“Officers will be deployed at various locations throughout the city to look for violations including, but not limited to, primary collision factors involving speed, red signals, and right of way violations,” the statement said.
“The Pasadena Police Department’s ultimate goal is to enforce and educate the driving public at the same time reducing serious injuries and fatal collisions,” according to the statement
Funding is being provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
