Post offices in the U.S Postal Service Sierra Coastal District, which includes Pasadena mail facilities, are hiring, according to a statement released by the USPS.
According to the release, the postal district has immediate job openings for postal support employees, including mail processing clerks.
The USPS is also looking for local holiday clerk assistants, holiday transportation assistants, mail handler assistants, automotive technicians, maintenance mechanics, city carrier assistants, rural carrier associates, tractor-trailer operators, laborers, custodians, and occupational health nurses.
Applicants must be 18 and able to pass both a drug screening test and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. All positions that require driving also require a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record of at least two years. Citizenship or permanent resident status is also required.
The Sierra Postal District includes Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Pasadena, Kern County, and Santa Clarita.
