Pasadena reached the 1,700 mark in Coronavirus cases on Sunday when city officials reported 30 new cases of the Coronavirus and one new death on Sunday, the youngest fatality yet.
“It’s a very tragic milestone when today we are reporting our youngest death to date,” said Public Information Officer Lisa Derderian.
“The 30-year old had several underlying health conditions that pre-disposed him to severe illness. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family from our City family. We also have 30 incident cases, continuing our rising risk and dates of exposure still align with the 4th.”
In total, 102 local residents have died. As of Monday, 66 local residents are currently hospitalized at Huntington Hospital battling the virus.
