Pasadena health officials announced no new Coronavirus deaths on Thursday and 55 new cases.

The increased number of cases came as the city continued to move into stage two of it response.

On Thursday, the city’s Public Health Director Ying Ying Goh issued a new order allowing all 351 retail business to open and car washes and dog groomers.

Business that choose to open must move to curbside transactions. Customers will be required to pay in advance and social distancing must be observed.

Los Angeles County officials released a similar order on Wednesday allowing all retail to begin operating under curbside guidelines.

Pasadena continues to work closely with the county, Long Beach and city of Los Angeles.

The county’s new order continues to urge people to stay home as much as possible, engage in social distancing and wear face coverings when interacting in public. The absence of an expiration date is an indication that the mandates will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
