Pasadena Residents Win ‘Best Realtors’ Award

Pasadena residents Mark and Cynthia Cohn of Deasy/Penner & Cohn have been named “Best Realtors” by Pasadena Weekly’s Best of Pasadena 2013 readership poll.

The annual contest seeks the top business leaders in the community. This is the Cohn’s second win, having previously received Best Realtors award in 2012.

The Cohns have been top realtors throughout their nearly 20-year real estate career providing personalized service to buyers, sellers and investors throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Their office is at Deasy/Penner & Partners in Pasadena

“We love what we do, we love the people we work with, and we are very passionate about our community, our partnership in business, and our dedication to raising our three children,” Cynthia said. “As a husband and wife team with growing children, we have an amazing knowledge about our area and are very connected in our community.”

Cynthia added that she and her husband have a clear understanding of what makes each community in San Gabriel Valley unique.

“You can only know this type of information by living in the community, doing business there, raising children in the schools, and eating in the restaurants,” Cynthia said. “By doing that, we’ve built a valuable, long-lasting relationships with others in business.”

“In receiving the award as Best Realtors it confirms that what we are doing has meaning to others,” she added.

Cynthia is a long-standing board member for the Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors, one of the leading real estate associations in the nation. She is a former board director and graduate of Leadership Pasadena, a longtime Pasadena Rotarian and in January 2013, she was named one of “50 Inspiring Leaders” in THE Magazine.

Mark Cohn is a long-time Tournament of Roses member and a Region 13 referee for the American Youth Soccer Organization. Additionally, he and Cynthia are co-founders of the Pasadena Business Network, helping small businesses thrive.

The Cohns are also experts in executive management, finance, and hospitality, creative marketing and strong negotiation and collaboration skills. In addition, the Cohns are a valued resource to other trusted advisers, whether that be attorneys, bankers, and accountants or contractors, designers and decorators.

“We act as resources for many of our clients’ needs,” Mark said. “That’s a big part of who we are. Long after escrow closes, we are there to help in any way that we can. It’s our goal to build long-term relationships and a major part of our formula for success.”
