Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly stealing items from a vehicle in San Marino, and police said Tuesday the pair may be responsible for additional similar crimes.
Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Bradbury Road, near Huntington Drive, about 1:45 p.m. Monday to investigate a report of juveniles stealing property from a vehicle, then fleeing the scene on a bike and a scooter, according to Sgt. C. Torres of the San Marino Police Department.
Officers located the youths, a 15-year-old Pasadena resident and a 16- year-old from San Marino, and recovered the stolen property, the sergeant said.
The teens were booked on suspicion of petty theft and possession of stolen property and released to their parents’ custody, according to Torres.
Detectives believe they may be linked to three similar crimes, and they encouraged anyone with information to call the San Marino Police Department at (626) 300-0720.
