Pasadena Software Company Releases Latest Version of “Spending Assistant” App for Android

Pasadena-based Wallaby Financial Inc. has released a new version of its app that helps consumers decide which credit card to use when shopping.

Wallaby’s app also helps users determine the best new credit card to add to their wallets, based on a number of factors including account rewards, fees, interest rates and other financial data.

“The accuracy of our Android app, driven by geo-location technology, offers real-time notifications to users to help them get the most points, miles or cash back possible,” said Wallaby Financial Founder and CEO Matthew Goldman. “Now Android users will have even more opportunities to save and rack up rewards, without compromising battery life or facing the hassle of checking their app each time they make a purchase.”

The latest version of Wallaby’s app sends users alerts based on location, providing instant access to insight on which credit card offers the highest cost-savings, and giving users faster integration and connection between the app and their specific banks.

The Android app intelligently combines information based on geolocation, financial data and the time of day to help users optimize credit card use and maximize savings opportunities.

Moreover, the app does not need to be open for the “Ambient Alert” feature to function – users will receive real-time alerts with a quick visual reminder suggesting which card to use to save the most money. To save on your cellphone battery, the new feature operates to only rely on phone service only when needed.

The Wallaby app is powered by CardBase, the firm’s proprietary database of more than 3,200 credit card profiles.
