The City of Pasadena’s Public Works and Water and Power Departments are inviting residents to a Community Tree Watering Open House on Wednesday, May 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Victory Park, 2575 Paloma St, Pasadena. The event aims to educate the public about optimal tree watering techniques and mulching.
Attendees will learn about turf removal programs and rebates, a new tree rebate, and how to effectively water street trees. The city’s street tree watering program will also be discussed, with opportunities for residents to get involved.
Mulching will be highlighted as a key strategy to conserve water and improve soil health around trees. The city hopes to encourage community involvement in maintaining the health of Pasadena’s urban forest.
