California Department of Transportation District 7 announced that drivers should expect intermittent lane reductions and off-ramp closures on westbound Interstate 210 from Marengo Avenue to Fair Oaks Avenue, starting Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, May 31.

Due to soundwall construction activities, the roads will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The work is part of the Soundwall Package 10 Project, which will continue through 2024. Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s contractor, C.A. Rasmussen, will be conducting construction activities on Maple Street between Lake Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue, as well as on Corson Street between Los Robles Avenue and Wilson Avenue.

Construction activities will include setting up temporary safety barriers, clearing and grubbing, material delivery and removal, backfill, grading, excavation, rebar, pile, and formwork installation, and concrete placement operations.

Thru traffic will be maintained on Maple Street and Corson Street, but lane reductions will be in place. Westbound I-210 will see intermittent off-ramp closures at Marengo Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with noise mitigations in place during night-time activities. Intermittent lane reductions will also occur on westbound I-210 between Marengo Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue during the same time periods.

Advanced warning signage and detour signage will be posted along the route, and access for emergency responders will be maintained. All ramps will reopen before peak traffic hours.

Metro emphasizes that closure dates and information are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information and future listing of scheduled activities, the public can visit the project website at metro.net/soundwall10.
