The Pasadena Unified School District announced it is offering free breakfasts and lunches to children and youth 18 years old or younger this summer through the 2023 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

The program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and operated by PUSD’s Food and Nutrition Services Department, the City of Pasadena, and other local organizations, aims to ensure that all children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.

No pre-registration is required, and children do not need to be enrolled in PUSD schools to receive a meal.

Parents can bring their children to one of the community feeding sites, where they will be provided with a free breakfast and lunch.

For a list of sites, the PUSD website directs individuals to click here or call PUSD Food and Nutrition Services at (626) 396-5852.

In addition to the summer meals program, PUSD is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2023-2024 school year, which allows all students enrolled in PUSD to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge during the academic year.

PUSD encourages all students to participate in the school meal programs. The meals served by PUSD follow USDA guidelines for healthy eating.
