Pasadena Water and Power’s Assistant General Manager of Customer Service and Technology, Jeremy Marquette, has been recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable contributions in transforming the utility’s service delivery and technology implementation, setting a new standard for the industry.

The prestigious award was presented to Marquette at the 2024 Oracle Utility User Group Conference, acknowledging his significant impact on the utility user community.

Acting General Manager of Water and Power David Reyes praised Marquette, saying, “It’s an honor to be recognized by the utility user community. PWP’s involvement with Oracle Utility User Group has dramatically benefited how we provide service and deliver technology.”

Marquette’s active participation in the Oracle Utility User Group, including frequent speaking engagements at annual conferences, has been instrumental in fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation among utility professionals. Through his leadership, Pasadena Water and Power has successfully navigated the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving utility landscape.

“The Oracle Utility User Group community has such a wealth of information that utilities share freely,” Marquette said, emphasizing the importance of collaboration within the utility sector.

The Oracle Utility User Group serves as a platform for utilities to address common challenges, such as implementing new technologies, system upgrades, and adopting renewable energy. By sharing expertise and resources, utilities optimize operations, minimize redundancy, and make informed decisions, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future.

Marquette’s contributions extend beyond his role at Pasadena Water and Power. He has successfully led cross-departmental teams for critical projects, including the launch of the utility’s new customer information system.

Under his leadership, Pasadena Water and Power was awarded the “Utility Partner of the Year” designation from Oracle, recognizing the utility’s industry leadership through innovation and significant advancements.
