Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) has launched its Shape Up Summer Campaign to encourage the community to reduce water use by 10%.

According to the City’s website, PWP has mobilized the PWP Team Water Savers, who are out in the community every morning to assist by observing water runoff, and providing customers with irrigation check-ups and other valuable resources.

Customers are encouraged to check their irrigation system and make sure sprinklers are watering the plants and not the pavement.

Customers can also receive a free kit from PWP to convert sprinklers to drip.

Customers are reminded to adjust their controllers to ensure they are not overwatering and to repair all sprinkler leaks.

PWP is also offering a free Help Reduce Outdoor Water Use! irrigation check-up.

During the Shape Up Summer Campaign, PWP is also hosting weekly Ask the Expert Sessions on Thursdays at noon via Zoom.

Residents can chat with experts on irrigation maintenance, retrofits to drip, planting and plant water needs, soil health and more. PWP is also hosting virtual Irrigation Workshops in May and June. Residents are encouraged to reserve their spot early.

The attached flyer from Gurcharan S. Bawa, General Manager of Water and Power, provides information on registration and can also be found at https://www.PWPweb.com/SaveWater
