After a hot and sunny Friday, temperatures will drop off Saturday as onshore flow develops and creates marine layer clouds reaching into the valleys. The National Weather Service says the marine layer will likely produce some dense fog inland.
In Pasadena, Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 66 and a south southeast wind at around five miles per hour.
Patchy fog will develop after 10 p.m. on Saturday night, with increasing clouds and a low around 48.
A weak cold front will bring rain to the area on Sunday, mostly after 10 a.m. when the NWS predicts a 70 percent chance of rain, highs will be near 58. Winds will be south southeast at around 10 mph.
Sunday night will be mostly cloudy, with a 40 percent rain chance before 10 p.m. and lows around 43.
After Sunday, high pressure brings in a sharp warming trend into next week, with maximum temperatures predicted to be well above normal by Wednesday.
