Pasadena Will Escape ‘Excessive Heat’ Elsewhere in LA County Tuesday

An excessive heat watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for parts of Los Angeles County where temperatures could reach 109 starting Tuesday, but Pasadena is expected to top out at just 92.

Tuesday will be the warmest day of the next seven, according to the National Weather Service.

A shrinking marine layer will limit night to morning low clouds to mainly coastal areas Tuesday through Friday

The week should sunny days about 90 daily until a slight cooling settles in for the weekend.

Still, the National Weather Service recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in air conditioned rooms, staying out of the sun, and checking on relatives and neighbors.

Today: Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 64. Calm wind.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 65. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 92. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 62.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 60.
