A domestic dispute reportedly turned violent on Wednesday night, leading to the arrest of a Pasadena woman for allegedly stabbing her husband.

Pasadena Police responded to a call at the 600 block of East Walnut Street at approximately 8:48 p.m., where they found a 50-year-old man with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his neck.

According to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau, the victim claimed that his wife, 40-year-old Jeanette Nunez of Pasadena, became physically aggressive following an argument.

Allegedly intoxicated, Nunez is said to have retrieved a large butcher knife during the altercation and attacked her husband, striking him in the neck.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Pasadena Fire Department. The knife used in the incident was recovered as evidence. Nunez was taken into custody without further incident and has been charged with domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. The initial cause of the argument has not been disclosed, said Campeau.
