PCC Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Season Ends

The Pasadena City College men’s and women’s track and field 2016 season came to an end at Saturday’s Southern California Championships at Antelope Valley College. The Lancers failed to qualify any athletes to the CCCAA State Championships.

The season was a tough one for the Lancers who had just one male athlete, Stewart McKenzie qualify for the SoCal Finals. McKenzie placed ninth in the triple jump as PCC did not score at the meet. On the women’s side, no athlete got past the SoCal Prelims as Edna Bailon placed 15th (43:03.15) and Franceska Millanponce 19th (44:06.57) in the 10,000 meters

PCC is in the process of hiring a full-time track and field and cross country head coach. The new person will likely be announced in June. Incoming freshmen and transfer student-athletes are encouraged to fill out the “Interested Athletes” questionaire at the link below:
