Pasadena City College is proud to announce that recent PCC graduate, and licensed cosmetologist, Myo Lai, has won the prestigious Junior Style Stars National competition. Lai beat out more than 300 competitors to take first place in one of the largest cosmetology contests in the United States. Competitors had to submit a complete “look” for judging that included hair, accessories, and makeup. In addition to the title, Lai will receive prizes valued at $50,000 during a surprise presentation at the PCC Community Education Center on May 17.

Paul Barry, advisory board member for the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and cosmetology industry mogul for 42 years, will be presenting the award on May 17, 11:00 a.m. at the Pasadena City College Community Education Center Rotunda (3035 E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena).
